Lateral epicondylitis

Lateral epicondylitis is inflammation of the tendons where the wrist and finger extensor muscles attach to the lateral epicondyle. Treatment for this diagnosis is usually in the form of ultrasound, iontophoresis, friction massage, and rest. Although these modalities are beneficial, they do not address the cause of the tendonitis. An overworked muscle is usually the result of improper body mechanics and/or other postural faults.

Could it be caused by the...
  • Opposite hip?
  • Thoracic spine?
  • Elbow joint?
  • Opposite Sub-talar joint?
  • Overused muscles?
  • Scapular position?
  • Nerve impingement?
